Looking to get away for the holidays? Anna Maria Island is your perfect holiday escape. With beautiful gulf views, and sugar sand beaches, and warmer temperatures than most of the United States, it really can’t be beaten.
Some might think that with the warm weather that there is a shortage of that “holiday feel” but you couldn’t be further from the truth. The Anna Maria Island area is full of holiday cheer. What’s better than seeing a Christmas Tree on the beach? Or seeing palm trees decorated with lights? The island is full of beautiful decorations.
Tonight there will be a Lighted Golf Cart Parade (how fun is that) starting at 6:30 pm Coquina Beach Café located at 2650 Gulf Drive South, Bradenton Beach FL 34217 and will end around 7:30. The parade route runs north to the historic Bridge Street, onto the rotary on Church St, then down Gulf Drive heading south to Bradenton Beach City Hall. This is an inaugural event, in support of TIFF (To Inform Families First) TIFF is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting emergency contact registration. Over 13,000,000 have registered in Florida alone, and it is currently used in six different states. This is a fun event to come out and experience while supporting a great cause!
What’s better than watching fireworks on New Year’s Eve while sitting on the beach with the sand in your toes? Well, on Anna Maria Island you can do just that! Everywhere on the beach is a great view, and even if it is a bit chilly, you’re not going to freeze! There’s a party at Gulf Drive Cafe & The Kokonut Hut with free sparklers, a free champagne toast midnight, and dancing under a tiki hut all night long!
