Escape life and live on "Island Time"
on Anna Maria Island.
A quaint barrier island nestled in the Gulf of Mexico with beautiful turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Anna Maria Island is one of the few remaining unassuming, wallet friendly "Old Florida" places to visit. Flip flops and bathing suits are a way of life. The three story height restriction, keeps high rise condos off the island and you won't find chain restaurants here either. We eat fresh local cuisine, fish on old wooden piers, know the shop owners by name, and stay on the beach until the sky turns ten shades of beautiful.
Silver Resorts offers two locations on Anna Maria Island. Bridgewalk, a landmark resort and Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort.
We invite you to relax on the beach and watch dolphins play in the water or explore the island on the island's free trolley that runs the length of the 7-mile island all day long. Visit some of the interesting shops, which feature local artists and meet some of the most interesting people in the world at one of the local eateries or bars. Several months out of the year you can find island treasures at the open air markets selling food from local farmers as well as local goods.
On Anna Maria Island, you can be as busy as you want to be. Snorkel and dive, parasail, rent a jet ski, catamarans, paddle boards or kayaks. Charter a fishing boat or fish off one of the two piers on Anna Maria Island and cook up your very own Grouper sandwich that night. If you are here over a holiday, watch or participate in one of the many local home-town parades and if you like festivals, you can find one just about any time of the year around here.
Cross over one of the three bridges and reach all of the things that make Bradenton and Sarasota Area unique. If you like to shop, then Ellenton Outlet Mall and the famous St. Armands Circle are your places to go. Looking for a bargain, Red Barn Flea Market is calling your name. Within a short distance you can visit Mote Marine Laboratory and touch a sting-ray, meet some Manatees and Sea Turtles. Art is abounding in Bradenton and Sarasota, whether it is the Ringling Art Museum or Village of the Arts.
By the time most of our guests are packing up to go home they have already made their plans to come back and enjoy Island Time with us again. We believe you will too, that is why we answer our phones with "you are going to love it here".
